We at Verdi Expeditions Inc. ("Verdi," "we," "us," or "our") respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy.
This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you, or that you may provide, when you visit our website at www.verdi.ag (the "Website"), use our irrigation automation platform and related hardware (the "Offering"), interact with our sales, marketing, or support teams, or otherwise provide us with information through various means (collectively, the "Services"), and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

This Privacy Policy is a separate document from, and should be read alongside, our Terms & Conditions. If you are a Client under our Terms & Conditions, Section 17 (Data Collection, Use, Sharing, Storage & Retention) of that agreement also applies to your use of the Offering; where that section is more specific to the Offering, it governs in the event of a conflict with this Policy.
Please read this policy carefully before submitting a service request or otherwise using our Services. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use the Website or Services. By accessing or using the Website, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

The information we collect falls into three categories: (1) information you voluntarily submit to us; (2) information collected automatically as you use the Website or Offering; and (3) information we receive about you from third parties. Information we collect may be sent to and stored on servers located in Canada, the United States, and other countries.

We advertise our Services on platforms such as Google, Meta, and LinkedIn. These platforms may use information collected through cookies or pixels — including your interactions with our Website and ads — to show you Verdi advertising and to help us measure ad performance. This information may be linked to online identifiers or IP addresses associated with your device.

If you are a Client or an authorized User of the Verdi platform, we collect account and identity data (such as your login email and profile information), service and usage data (login activity, permissions, settings, and usage events), and Client Data that the Offering is configured to obtain from your hardware, sensors, or connected systems, all as further described in Section 17 of our Terms & Conditions.
If you connect a Google account to the Offering, we access your primary Google account email address, basic profile information (such as name and profile image URL, if provided by Google), and your OpenID Connect identifier. We do not access Gmail, Google Drive, or Google Workspace content unless you have explicitly agreed to this in writing. See "Google API Limited Use Disclosure" below.
We use the information we collect to improve and expand our Services and to provide customer service and technical support. We may also use collected information to: provide you with requested Services; communicate with you by email, text, or phone; provide notifications and updates; send marketing, promotional, and cold-outreach communications consistent with your preferences and applicable law (see "Marketing Communications & Cold Outreach" below); monitor interest in and improve our Services and offerings; respond to questions and comments; customize your experience; resolve disputes; and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
Service Providers. When you submit a request for a quote, demo, or service, we share the information you provide with third-party service providers that assist us in fulfilling your request (such as hosting, CRM, scheduling, and support tools). We share only the information necessary for them to perform their function, and they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Corporate Parents, Subsidiaries, and Affiliates. We may share information collected through the Website or Offering with our corporate parents, subsidiaries, and affiliated businesses.
Third-Party Vendors. We share information generated by cookies and other technologies with authorized third-party vendors that perform services on our behalf, including website analytics, payment processing, security, customer support, marketing assistance, and business analysis. These vendors may access personal information necessary to perform their functions but may not use it for other purposes.
Advertisers and Marketing Platforms. We may share information we have automatically collected with advertising platforms (such as Google, Meta, and LinkedIn) for the purposes described in "Interest-Based Advertising" above. You may opt out of some of these practices at www.networkadvertising.org.
Anonymous or Aggregated Information. We may share non-personal information in an aggregated or de-identified form that does not identify you, as we deem appropriate for our business operations, consistent with this policy.
Other Situations. We may also disclose your information: (a) in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process, to exercise or defend legal rights, or as required by law; (b) when we reasonably believe it is necessary to investigate or prevent illegal activity, fraud, or other wrongdoing, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Verdi, our Clients, or Users; and (c) in connection with a corporate transaction, including a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Third parties with whom we share personal information may have their own privacy policies governing their use and disclosure of that information once shared. Their servers may be located inside or outside of Canada and the United States.
Email newsletters and marketing. If you subscribe to our updates or opt in to marketing communications, you may unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email or by contacting info@verdi.ag.
Business-to-business cold outreach. Verdi conducts business development outreach to agricultural operations, agronomists, and industry professionals whose business contact information we source as described above. Every outreach email identifies Verdi as the sender, provides accurate contact information, and includes a clear, functioning way to opt out of future messages. We honor opt-out requests promptly.
Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). For recipients in Canada, we send commercial electronic messages only where we have express or implied consent (including the business-relationship and referral exemptions recognized under CASL). Every message includes sender identification and an unsubscribe mechanism, honored within 10 business days.
U.S. CAN-SPAM Act. For recipients in the United States, our commercial emails comply with the CAN-SPAM Act, including accurate header and sender information, non-deceptive subject lines, identification as an advertisement where applicable, our valid physical address, and a working opt-out mechanism.
SMS/text communications. If you opt in to receive text messages from us, message and data rates may apply, and you may opt out at any time by replying STOP or contacting info@verdi.ag, consistent with Section 16 (SMS Communication) of our Terms & Conditions.
Text messaging opt-in data is never shared with third parties. All of the categories of information described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Text Message services that are necessary to deliver your messages (such as our messaging platform provider). We do not use your phone number or SMS/text opt-in consent for advertising, and we do not sell or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Verdi's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, Verdi does not: (i) use Google user data for serving advertisements; (ii) sell Google user data; or (iii) allow humans to read Google user data, except in the narrow circumstances permitted by Google's policies (such as with your consent, for security purposes, or to comply with law). You can revoke Verdi's access to your Google Account at any time through Google's account permissions settings.
You may choose not to provide us with personal information, or you may disable cookies through your browser settings. You may still browse the generally available content on the Website, but we may not be able to process service requests or provide certain Services without this information.
If you do not wish to receive marketing communications from us, use the unsubscribe link in the footer of any commercial email, or contact info@verdi.ag. Opting out of our commercial emails will not affect communications from third-party service providers that you separately engage; contact them directly to manage those preferences.
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures designed to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls based on least-privilege and need-to-know, audit logging of administrative access, and vulnerability management and secure development practices.
Your information may be transferred to and maintained on computers or servers located in Canada, the United States, or other countries where our service providers operate. By voluntarily submitting information to us, you consent to your information being transferred to, processed, and stored in these jurisdictions.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain personal information for the shorter of: (a) the period necessary to provide our Services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy; or (b) the period required by law or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Upon a valid request to delete your information, we will delete or de-identify it, subject to lawful retention obligations; routine backups may retain deleted data for a limited period (typically within 30–90 days) before cycling out.
Our Services are intended for business use and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@verdi.ag so that we can delete it.
This section applies to residents of California ("California Consumers") and describes the categories of personal information we collect, our sources, our purposes for collecting it, and who we share it with, consistent with the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA).
All of the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Text Message services. See "Marketing Communications & Cold Outreach" above.
Your California rights. Subject to certain exceptions, California Consumers have the right to: know what personal information we have collected, used, disclosed, or sold about them; request deletion of their personal information; request correction of inaccurate personal information; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (Verdi does not sell personal information and does not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by the CPRA, beyond the interest-based advertising described above); and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise these rights, contact us at info@verdi.ag. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to verification.
As a company headquartered in British Columbia, Verdi handles personal information consistent with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation. You may request access to, and correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at info@verdi.ag. See also "Marketing Communications & Cold Outreach" above for your rights regarding commercial electronic messages under CASL.
Verdi is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We and our service providers may process data in Canada, the United States, and other jurisdictions where we or they operate. Regardless of where information is processed, we take steps designed to protect it consistent with this policy and applicable law, including appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers where required.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically; it is your responsibility to review it for changes.
