Two programs, designed to save or make you money.

Program 1: Demand Response

During a small number of high-demand grid events each year, growers may be paid to temporarily reduce pump load.

Typically a good fit for:

  • Larger pumps
  • Longer run times
  • Operations with some scheduling flexibility

Participation is optional, automated, and designed to avoid disrupting irrigation priorities.

Program 2: Hourly Flex Pricing (energy savings, no downside risk)

Hourly Flex Pricing allows growers to shift irrigation to lower-cost hours using advance price signals provided by the utility.

  • Prices are known 1–7 days in advance
  • You never pay more than your standard rate
  • Automation handles scheduling automatically

This program is well-suited to irrigation pumping, EV charging, and other flexible agricultural loads.

Hourly Flex Pricing is currently available to agricultural customers who:

  • Have pumps controlled by Verdi
  • Are on eligible agricultural rate plans (AG-A1, AG-A2, AG-B, AG-C)
  • Are served by PG&E or a participating CCA
  • Meet program participation rules
